not using the stock steering rack anymore. factory gauge cluster is being used with an interface unit. some other gauges will be added though. drivetrain is done minus the rear end. getting the brakes done and still fooling with the steering. just put in a line lock and adjustable proportioning valve from wilwood.

Is it possible to use the stock steering rack? Will it clear the drive pulley when it's pushed back 3 inches? That the main problem with me doing the swap, what did you decide to use in it's place?

stock rack will work but you will need a giant hood scoop. the oil pan and balancer sit on top of it. the supra hacks moved the rack forward which caused the wheel to hit the tie rod end while turning, -limiting turning ability. the rack is a secret

Ya Im not down with a hood scoop in the slightest bit. How about forming the oil pan around it, do you think it will cause oil starvation. Come on man, if it where me in your position I would tell you. From one custom builder to another, except my area of expertise's is in body mods and paint. What are your plans for that?
