Need some input on exhausts
I need help picking an exhaust system for my car. I want one that doesn't make a whole lot of noise (high pitch) I want a kinda deep sound. I hate the ones that sound like you should be playing the flight of the bumble bee...lol. Does anyone know anything about the borla exhausts for s2000's?
i had an stainless steel HKS dual that sounds awesome cause its low and not too loud. i wanted something louder so i went with a buddy club single and i love it. its pretty freakin loud! but if youre into a lower volume deeper sound the hks does the job well...IMO
I did extensive research on how each S2000 aftermarket exhaust sounds....and though MANY will disagree on here, I got the best sounding: Invidia. There is drone...but, I have ridden in other S2000s with a non-stock exhaust that the drone was actually worse. Plus, the drone is VERY controllable with throttle pressure.
There is no better sound than the Invidia at wide-open throttle. It truly sounds like a F1 race car, and also does the same while idling....it just gurgles, I love it!
I got mine through Steve@Evolution....he usually has a group by going. You can not beat the price, especially for what you get: great fitment, good looks, and a rediculously good sound.

what is drone what is that sound?
I own Invidia's and Love them... so don't get them... Don't want too many around
What I am really curious about is how the drone sounds with a straight pipe. I know that on ENRIQUE'S pipes it has eliminated the drone. Course he has single chute.
There are many choices out there... do your homework on the sound...
I suppose the three fav parts I have of the Invid's are:
1. The way I drive the car... knowing shift points... hearing EXACTLY what the engine is doing.
2. The way they look
3. Setting off other car alarms.

... but I have been kinda curious about Borla, too.
