The PMs will be restored, somehow an old copy of the PM table was imported so that needs to be redone tomorrow. Nothing is lost, only delayed. The design is bone stock out of the box except for the logo, the new design isn't finished yet but should be ready by weeks end. Many, many features are experimental. If they are good we will keep, if not, disable. It's not final, golden by any means.

Give it a week and all of these niggly issues will go away and the design will be much better and lot less bluey (still some because s2ki's color id blue, but not like this).

I'm sure cthree has had to compromise customisation with minimal downtime and provided - at minimum - functionality to get everyone back on.

You'll be seeing improvements in the upcoming, the latest version of IPB is very flexible and I can imagine only good things come this way.

Just to keep you all busy, I suggest you start to learn all the new and important features that you have been given:
https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/index.php...re&module=help
^This is a userguide, includes Moderators & Admin functionality if any mods etc would like to learn this.

Yes, everything is not setup to how it was before (cthree is aware of everything, so don't bombard him with PM's please!) but everyone please be patient and you will be very impressed how quick things will be ironed out.

I would imagine the forum will be a lot faster after all the PM issues and importing achieved data is completed.

Please be aware the forum is in OFFLINE mode until a few major things are ironed out so functionality will be minimal.

The only thing that I don't like is that the "Clubs" link at the top of the page is gone, as far as the format, I am all for the upgrade, so I will make the best of it!

Performance. It sucks big time. The web server is getting slammed to the point of unconsciousness due to some processing activity we have not identified yet. This is a major problem and it's the one we are working on immediately. Until we identify the problem I have disabled access to the site for pretty much everyone, sorry, so there is enough horsepower left in the machine to figure out what the problem is.

Private Messages. Some are missing (after Nov 23 2010). They did not get imported into the new system because they came from an old backup somehow. To fix the problem I will be reimporting all the PMs and reconverting them to the new version. This means wiping out all the PMs in the production database so we have disabled PMs until we get them reimported, later today or ASAP.

Design. The design (style) of the site is temporary, taken from a boilerplate template to save time. The design will be changed to a more familiar S2KI style once the major technical issues are fixed.

I'm sorry that things have become a little wobbly but those problems will be fixed in short order. The benefits offered by the new software will far outweigh the immediate pain of the transition (not called disruptive for nothing!) but we need your patience for a few days to get everything resolved.

Thanks.
