Nitrous
My nitrous set up has given me a huge head ache. The current theory is my bottle/valve is bad. Before going out to buy another tank I would like to make sure i need one. So if any of you have a tank i can hook up to my car and purge for a second i would be greatfull.
I have had my tank filled twice and when I purge compressed air comes out. I'm 99% sure that the bottle is being filled correctly but it seems something is going wrong between the bottle and the purge solenoid. The only thing i can think of is a bad valve. So i just need to hook up your bottle and purge for a second..

Your solenoid could be locked up. If you are using any type of jet on your purge setup it could also be a clogged jet as well. Easy way to check your nitrous bottle valve is to open it without the line hooked up and if it sprays fierce, loud, and about 4 feet long of white gas then your bottle is fine (unless of course its a low pressure bottle). I would check your jet if you are running on on your purge side. Most likely you are. Sounds like a small grain of sand/dirt is stock at the end of the jet.
Oh and the above comments/opinion is with me thinking your problem is you cant purge but it functioned before. Please give us a better idea of what the problem is and what it is doing and maybe a little background of it.
Hope this helps.

It seems to purge/spray fine but what comes out is not nitrous at least not pure nitrous. Its like compressed air comes out and that's it. No white cloud but lots of noise and air.

How much does your tank weigh when you purge? Also how long are you purging for? Bottles always have some compressed air in it, so it has to purge that out first until its white. Who is filling it? I also have a few nos bottles if your interested in buying. I know all of them work, however since some shops are not allowing it, 2 of the bottles will need to be tested again (less then 20 bucks) that way it can be filled by anyone. post some pics of your setup if possible.

I get it filled at grand prix in tulsa. I know another guy who used to spray and he always got his filled their. I'm not sure the exact weight of the bottle after the fill I do know its nearly double the weight though. Also I purge the entire tank and get just air.... It dosen't make any sense really but their cant be much wrong with just a line from the bottle to a solenoid to a purge tube. No filter no nothing to block it.

hmmm this is really odd. Have you tried to purge diretly out of the bottle with no line? Try that. If that still doesnt show it then it is in fact the n20 fill. Ive never heard of this problem. The only other thing i can think of is if you put the bottle in when its full and leave it open and most of the n20 leaks out and then you try to purge and its air, since the last 1/4 of your bottle generally is air. Well less then a 1/4 but thats what happens. Have you tried to spray instead of purge? Does your car pull llike it should? How about changing the bottle to one of gran prix's just for a moment to rule out the bottle. I have never seen a bottle fail or ever cause a problem like this. If that isnt the case then you could be leaking into your engine bay or wherever your solenoid is and then you push air out only... Hightly not the case. To bad you dont live closer Id be glad to have a look at it for you.
