Need opinions: Do it yourself Valve adjustment...
I'm fairly mechanically inclined... but FAR for being a mechanic. I have worked on MANY 2-stroke engines (mostly Helicopter stuff..don't ask)... But I have what one would call an 'average' set of tools (nothing fancy like a big snap-on toolbox with all the works, etc)...
I REALLY want to check (and possibly) adjust the valves in my car, but I'm honestly afraid of screwing things up.
I was hoping some of you (especially first-timers) that have done your own valve adjustments to advise me if it really worth attempting, or something I should pay for? I know there's a document explaining exactly how... but again, this is my baby...and I don't wanna screw up.
Would you guys recommend against or for me tring this? And, if for, what kind of 'other than normal' tools would you recommend I own?
Sorry to be a dork-- Concerned,
Aaron

Hahaha
... Well for any1 else reading, I just did mine Sunday and did an AP1 intake cam swap. Took about 2.5 hrs total. Valves were way out of adjustment at only 54k miles but then again, I used to spend alota time in vtec. especially on the highway for long periods of time.
