wow, i think they are the easiest ones to do. i just pop out the factory airbox (takes about 30seconds). and do everything from the top side. i dont have the valve but suppose it would make things a little easier.

With the valve installed, there is no need to remove the air box or remove/install the drain plug, not to mention replacing the crush washer. And you will never have to fish the drain plug out of the hot oil in the drain pan in those instances when the drain plug slips out of your fingers. This valve is one of the best maitenance products I've ever used.

on my personal car i dont have to because i dont run a factory intake. i just reach down slide a oil pan under and let it drain. i dont remove any sensors or anything else. customers cars i can do on the lift easy enough so ill do them that way... but if am doing side work in my garage then i do them the way i described. my oil changes actually take about an hour. sounds like a lot but i flush the oil 2 times with a small honda filter/dino oil and then the 3rd time is the s2000 filter with mobil 1. so far only 1 oil change since the simon motor went in. i only put on about 5k miles a year.
