Default Oil Evacuator

Is there any disadvantage to using an oil evacuator like the Mityvac to drain your oil instead of removing drain plug and draining it the conventional way. I like the idea of not having to either jack the car up or drive it up on ramps.

Thanks

Troy

The Mityvac is an excellent tool to have around. I've been wanting to buy one for some time now. The only downside might be that you can get a better (more thorough) drain by using the drain plug in most cases.

The Mityvac I have seems to get more out than when I use the drain plug...

Have you guys considered the Fumoto valve? Nothing could be easier. A complete change from under the hood. There's a discussion yesterday somewhere here, Search Fumoto.

Thanks for the responses. I'm getting tired of crawling around on the driveway so the Mityvac looked interesting.
