Default Quick question

Okay, so I'm coming home today. I pull off 169, see the green light, but few cars. So I book it to try to make it (as I'm sure plenty of you have done). No luck, and I end up stopping. I'm the only one at the light, and as I'm there, about ten seconds later a cop pulls up behind me.

The light goes green, I go through. I turn into my complex, and he FOLLOWS me. I go and open the garage, and as I'm pulling in, realize he was waiting the whole time, and then finally drives off.

Is that as strange as I think it is? Am I being overly paranoid about his intentions? Or is this something that just comes with having a sports car? This is, in fact, my first sports car, so maybe I'm just discovering something everyone else already is used to.

What are your experiences?

Maybe he just wanted to make sure you got home safely.

The only time I had a popo follow me was in my 93 Integra when I lived in Owasso. The dude was on my @$$ for a good half a mile before he pulled me over. It turns out my tag was expiring that month (but IIRC, I was within the 30-day grace period) and I had just bought the car two months prior so I didn't get a reminder card in the mail. He let me go after he said "you're not some kind of serial killer are you?" and told me to get my tag renewed.

Been there - done that.

They like to pick on the "sporty cars".

Drive safe, obey the speed limit, and say " screw you!".
