Default Throttle Cable?

Has anyone did the throttle cable adjustment? Did it help?
From what I'm understanding this helps the response and takes the slack out of our cable. Any help would be appreciated.

I noticed that it was more responsive after I did it. There's just a little less of a dead zone when you push the throttle. Definitely worth the few minutes to do it.
