2022 Breitenbush Drive & Lunch - May 21

2022 Breitenbush Drive & Lunch Saturday May 21st
....
Officially 98 miles and 2 hours and 30 minutes of drive time during the drive time - however the drive ends after lunch ....
After being closed due to devastating wildfires for almost 2 years, Breitenbush highway **Appears** to be reopening for all to enjoy. There is some ambiguitiy here with various forest service roads in the area and the ones that would connect us to Detroit Oregon. Intitially we were planning a short but fun drive down Breitenbush for lunch in Detroit, another local community that was also devastated by wildfires however after Aaron and I pre drove the route this morning, the highway with it's fun curves and the massive amount of devastation still will be a fun warm up for everyone.
We will be starting in the drive at the Elmers in NE Portland located at;
Elmer's Restaurant - Clackamas
Address: 16087 SE 82nd Dr, Clackamas, OR 97015
Time: Optional breakfast around 8:00AM
Drive departs at 9:15am
We will follow the Clackamas River down to Estacada venture down the Breitenbush highway.
There will be lots of twisties, and likely still some fire clean up that could lead to potential pilot cars with minor delays on this portion of the adventure.
Once we get to Ripplebrook, we'll take a pit stop at the Ripplebrook store to use the bathroom then hop back in our cars to cruise back up!
Don’t miss out on this one!
---> The Drive Plan PDF will be e-mailed to the participants on Thursday May 19

S2Ki Oregon -
The fun starts here! ... In the event of inclement weather we will cancel the drive.
...Note:This is the Oregon S2000 Owners Forum. As such, our drives are exclusively forS2000's and their owners in Oregon and S.W. Washington.
Our drives are not open to the general public, which includes those who used to own an S2000, hope to own one, those with similar cars, or those who think the drive we've put together sounds fun and would like to tag along, etc.
We are not trying to be snobby here, but are trying to clarify what we are about – The fun and adventure of Honda S2000 ownership.

FYI Aaron and I just pre drove the route, while it does not complete the loop, an out and back through the newly opened highway should be a fun couple hours followed by lunch. Looking forward to seeing everyone!
