We will be meeting on the south end of Wilsonville to head out and spend the day driving through some scenic back country roads and hitting up some historic markers on our way down the Willamette Valley! :vtec:... ...


Turning west we will pass by the south-east side of Corvallis winding next to the Alsea River. We will turn left onto OR-34 to Marys Peak/Alsea Falls. Along this part of the highway is where the fun starts. We will be going through Alsea and reaching Waldport in 56.1 miles. We’ll turn right for a quick bathroom break at Ray’s Food Place.

Continuing through various twists and turns along the Alsea River canyon to the coast arriving at Newport for some fresh ocean air and food!

We’ll leave Ray’s turning left back onto OR-34. In 0.5 miles is Hwy 101, we will turn right at the light. Driving north on Hwy 101 for 13.6 miles, turn right onto 35th St and left onto SE Ferry Slip Rd. Fishtails Cafe will be on the right. There are parking spaces in front of the cafe and street parking is available.

After a nice lunch, we’ll leave Fishtails Cafe, heading south on SE 32nd to Hwy 101. We’ll continue on Hwy 101 through Newport for 1.8 miles at which we'll turn right onto US-20. We’ll stay on US-20 for 45.2 miles where we can fuel up at the Chevron in Philomath.



Once we’re done fueling up, we leave Chevron heading east by turning left onto US-20. In 5.1 miles, stay on the left to continue on OR-34. In 1 mile turn right onto OR-34/Hwy 210. We will continue on this highway for 9.7 miles where you use the right lane to merge of onto I-5 North. The drive officially ends once you reach I-5 North.
