Default Alingment spec suggestions

I lowered the front of my car last week and while i had the wheels out i noticed i have a small hole the on the front fender liner. Its right behind one of the plugs where the fender liner tapers. I also noticed that i was missing 2 plugs on each side. Ive since put it back to the previous height and replaced the plugs only to lose one the same day.

So im rubbing in the same spot on both sides, just barely. I still want to keep the car low like it is now, so im wondering what people can suggest for alignment specs, mainly camber settings to help.

My specs right now are:

SSR Type F's 17x7.5 +48 front with 225 tire. 17x8.5 +58 rear with a 255. (my rear doesnt rub at all)

Im on the UK spec alignment:

Can i add more front camber to help with the rubbing?
Will i need to add more rear to keep it from negativly affecting the handling?

Im no alignment guru but IMO there is no need for anything wider than a 215 on a 7.5" wide wheel, this could also potentially help with the rubbing. GL!

Yeah i know a 215 would help. But i like the 225/255 set up better than when i was running a 215. I dont want to change tires, especially since theyre no where near needing to be changed.

those rim size or not wide enough to run those tires sizes u can, but the rim
will pinch the tires more and that will push up or make the tires taller!! FYI i ran those tires size on a 9" rims for one summer!!the rubbing in fronts?
we all do to some degree a price u pay for being Low! for u setup u don't need to run anymore camber u can if u want but won't do anything functional for u just eat more tires!!just run 215 in fronts u be ok..or go wider rim to stretch them out.

Well i didnt really want to buy new ones, but tire rack says the section width on the htr III is 9" for a 225 and 8.5" for a 215. So does anyone one to buy some tires lol.

What about those alignment specs though?

Thats what i want to know about since ill be adjusting the height no matter what, especially if i get new tires since that will change the fender gap some.

You don't need very much negative camber for street driving. It is fine where you have it. The only thing you are going to do by increasing the camber is just more tire wear. I bet a tiny roll would solve your problem.

I think im just going to buy new tires, 215/45/17.

But I'm curious why i get mixed answers about the 225/45/17 being on a 7.5" wheel. Sumitomo/tireracks spec recommend a 7-8" wheel for the tire and it was measured on a 7.5" wheel to get the specs on their site. I might be wrong but the section width is half an inch larger on the 225/45/17 and thats why i figured it would be alright run it on a wheel that is half and inch larger than stock(considering stock is recomended at 215/45/17).

I just want to understand it better, maybe im missing something. I personally like the way 225 front 255 rear handles, but i have no experience with the 215/255 combo. I dont want to deal with rubbing and dont want to raise the car, im sure a 215 will fix that.

I would stick to the 225 and 255 combo. My alignment specs are about as close to yours but my fronts are 0.5 . Although I am on stock wheels with 20mm spacers , I did have to roll my fender slighty and relocate the rear tabs. I think you will get by with a minor roll in the fronts or raise your car a hair if you're on coilovers

Isn't
215 front
&
255 rear

Yes it is.

I did have 225's on the front for the past year and a half and was fine until I got too low. I have no camber up front though.
