a 225 tire on a 7.5 wheel is perfectly fine and within spec. the difference at that point is negligible for street driving and really just comes down to driver preference, some people like a little stiffer side wall, some dont it obviously seems like you prefer the 225, bump up the camber to -1.5 and forget about it. i run -2.25 and get plenty of life out of my tires, just make sure your toe is in spec, thats going to kill your tires more than camber. your car looks awesome.

That's good to hear. I'm gonna try for -2* when I get mine aligned, hopefully tomorrow.

Thanks.
If I change the front to 1.5 should I increase the rear camber(not sure if increasing the front alone would affect the way the car handles)?
And would increasing the front camber make it more likely to rub on the inside/back of the fender?
I noticed I already had some light marks behind the wheel

I doubt you would be rubbing a 7.5 +48 on the insides.

Maybe Im just seeing things. Either way I'm going to sechedule an alignment next week after i lower it to where i want it. If it still rubs the outer edge or pulls out liner clips I'll look into 215's.

Thanks for the help guys.

+45 offset! no rub! -1 camber in fronts and -2.5 in rears!!All fender roll! plus I'm drop low....see pic?

So tempting, but it'd require me to buy new wheels and tires and roll. Even after I'd sell my current set up I'd probably still need to come up with a bit. Thats why im hesitant on buying new tires, the less i spend right now the better. Cash is still tight since I paid the car off early (2 years early) last month.

just get a little more aggressive with the camber and you should be fine. Nothing wrong with 225 on a 7.5 rim. I have been running that for over a year and have had zero issues. I am pretty low but I do have rolled fenders and cut liners! its cheaper to do an alignment than buy new rims and tires....

Any suggestions for an alignment shop. Preferably one that will let me potentially get multiple alignments with out paying more than once. And one that has a ramp i can get onto.

You could do firestones alignment for life deal if you are on a budget. I use alignment specialties in aloha. They are very good and can get everything dialed exactly to spec you ask. Some techs at these les schwabs and firestones sometimes have problems getting the right camber with the toe still in line. If you are going to invest time into an alignment and proper wheel setup I would consider having John over at forged corner balance it for you whole you are at it. Good luck.
