Yeah, I don't think the cop nailed the BMW early enough when he was going in full on passing mode. I think he was after the Subaru because she was pushing hard to pass us all. Not sure if she was just trying to get around or if she was chasing after the bimmer for some reason. She failed to yield when the lanes were merging, almost cutting me off and driving on the rumble strips to the point I had to swerve back to the right. He pulled in right about that time so I have a feeling he targeted her a ways back.

Looked like a lot of fun, sorry I had to miss out but I got sciatica from indoor soccer and I'm still currently recovering from that. I won't be able to make the drive in August but hopefully can meet up for the September one!

I play at Portland Indoor on MLK and Main. I play on the house team (referees + coaches) in the second division. They also have open play on Tuesday/Friday from 12 - 2 PM which has solid competition, you should check it out if you can get a long lunch break or half-day; I try to go whenever I get a half-day on a Friday.

Ah nice, I've probably played against you! I play on Oldslow (D1) and have played there for years in all divisions on numerous teams lol. Open play is fun but my work schedule doesn't allow for it anymore

When are the next drives that are like this? I am relatively new to the area and would love to make some new S2000 friends!

EDIT: found it after some digging! Anything that is smaller that happens on a Sunday or things in that nature?

Hey Ivan, I'm not new to the area, but I am new to S2000 ownership (I've been riding motorcycles and driving a pickup truck for the past number of years and it has been quite a while since I've driven a car that was truly fun to drive). I too would be interested in smaller gatherings and learning more about this car and improving my driving skills (I'll admit that I had never even attempted a heel-and-toe shift prior to taking ownership of the S2000). I've been to a few of the Portland Cars and Coffee gatherings that take place down in Wilsonville at the World Of Speed museum on Saturday mornings and I've met a number of other S2000 owners who are also members on this forum, so you might consider checking that event out. (I found out about the C and C event in the "Random Talk" thread elsewhere in the Oregon S2000 Owners subforum of this site (in the Sticky threads) so you might also consider posting in that thread. Maybe I'll see you there, or at another event one of these days.

...Bill

Awesome! I usually work Saturdays sadly, but always have Sundays off. Hope to see you around!

Yeah, the big drives are stickied at the top of the forum so should be really easy to find. Generally people will post random meet ups, coffee, dinner etc on their own but hasn't been much of that lately. Hopefully the interest will pick up
