Default Astoria "pre-drive"

...

Today while others went south to pre-drive the Cougar Reservoir drive, Debbie and I (and the dogs) pre-drove the upcoming Astoria/Beach Party drive.

That route to the coast is beautiful AND is such a kick to drive. Outstanding!

We checked out the beach location and have all of that in mind for the setup.

Looks like everything is in place - we just need nice weather and we are SET!

Yeah, RIGHT!

Our dogs aren't as large as yours.

And they LOVE to VTEC!

By the way - we didn't see ANY police on any of the roads, highways or towns on the whole route. Except for two that were investigating an accident on the summit between Tillamook and Banks - a jeep and boat trailer had flipped over in the center of the highway.

They were resting up. They were probably out in full force on Friday and Saturday and will be on Sunday.

I got stopped twice in the last 2 days by cops. Looks like they were all my way and not yours.

Me? Naughty??? You must have mistaken me for someone else.

Long story Ken, it will be a 2 margarita story. Stopped twice...no ticket. One cop actually said "go home lady, just go home".
