CF Hood
Wow.. I thought I was kidding about you getting CF parts on your car with in the next few month as we were leaving the restaurant last Saturday and you already got a new hood within less than a week.
Paul's modbug is more serious than we thought.

I would not worry too bad about hydro lock with that setup. My main concern would be how often you will have to clean the filter now.
It would have to be raining really damn hard for it to cause hydro lock on a cone filter like that. Most of the time you hear about hydro lock is when people have a CAI and they either submerg the filter in water or they go through a huge puddle and it splashes up.
Remember, engines run pretty hot. By the time a splash of water gets through the intake tube most of it, if not all of it has evaporated.
Hood looks good
