On the slave cylinder, peal the rubber boot back and you should not see any fluid. If there is then the seals are going bad. On the master cylinder look up under your dash where the push rod goes through the fire wall into the master cylinder. If you see any sign of fluid, even if its very light, then the seals are leaking.

when you clutch stars going bad i can change where the engagement is. When your pressure plate spring tires it tends to flex more before it lets go of the clutch disk. so it will take more clutch pedal travel to release the clutch.

If you have gotten all the air out of the hydraulics, nothing is leaking and you want to change your pedal is on engagement, there is a jam nut on the push rod of the master cylinder that can be loosened. Then you can adjust the free play of the pedal.

John,
How GREAT to hear from you, I am not sure if you recall me from the CEL and the issues ha ha
Anyway I thought I sent you an email about 3 months ago but apparently it never made it (maybe it was a Instant Message) Anyway the ruberboot sleeved area around the Slave apeared to have grease on them but I could not locate any leaks or fluids anywahere.... I am confident after flushing a lot through that all air is out.
I will check out that adjustment, its not huge but more of a comfort issue.
shoot me an email if you would, that valve adjustment we did fixed things brilliantly.

I am curious as to how things generally work out from here, be it the master going or the slave. Both looked fairly simple (assuming one can get under the car)

we just turned 80k and need to see what we can get done out your way.

Thanks again,

Lee
