Default CT Cai

Anyone have any pics of opinions on the CT CAI? Louder? More power? Easy install?

What was the name of that guys business here in Portland that can do installs on the S2000 (like a super charger)?

Comptech - $350
In terms of performance this intake is a great buy. Another tube style intake, but with different styling. Like the K&N this intake keeps the filter placement within the engine compartment. A heat shield is placed around the filter to insure that the intake is getting cold air rather then the hot air from the engine compartment. The sound of this system is favored with most S2K owners. One of the better looking filter covers, but the plastic tubing is lacking in appeal. Similar gains have been seen in performance comparing with that of the AEM V2. More so towards the higher rpm. One thing to note is that many owners worry about the intake possible taking in water and causing hydro lock.

I think this intake has great visual appeal, and makes a nice sound but I have no hands on experinece with it

Also I know Garrett has this intake and he seems happy with it, he will probably chime in here later, or you can just PM him

OOO! Great thread link! Thx!

I cant believe intakes cost $1000 now-a-days. Hell, back when I had my 95 del Sol VTEC I was pissed that they ran $150 to $200 on average.

I do have the Comptech. It is nice that at normal throttle openings it is mostly stock sounding. At WOT there is a nice low tone emitted. One thing I have noticed is that when you stop the engine, you don't get the "decompression" sound you get in most SRI and some CAI.

You are welcome to look at mine sometime. Just let me know.

The only complaint I have is the filter its self is foam covered. We have been dragging our feet, but the OR crew with Competch airboxes have been planning on ordering replacements similar to the K&N, we have just not done so yet.
