Damn, I never knew..
I have just constantly been talked to about my car, even yelled to about my car. And i've only owned it about two weeks now.
The cops have pulled me over three times.. two times it was for no other reason than to ask what kind of car i drive.. They used lights to pull me over, and didn't give me any tickets, nor did they let me off with a warning, they just wanted to know what kind of Honda it was, and exclaimed "I have NEVER seen a Honda like that, what does it cost? over 100k?" to which they reply "well keep the noise down" and of course I have to respond "This car in terms of performance is bone stock officer, and it's street legal" which makes them radio it in.. Now I do fully admit, I've been pushing this bad boy to redline in every gear, so it's very much my fault that i'm drawing attention, but I literally can't help it, the engine note is beautiful.
Other times, of course, as I'm sure my fellow brethren know, has been girls, I've even had girls yell shit at me while the top was down, and hilarious things such as "**** you nigga, I'd dump your ass just for a RIDE in that whip with that white boy" after her boyfriend commented on the car, despite the fact that MY girlfriend was riding in the passenger seat.
People follow me, even tailgate me to see what the car is, or what it can do.
And of course, everybody in a riced out civic with a coffee can exhaust, and even economy cars like an eagle talon wants a piece of my stock s, the only mods are 17 yoko's and I have rims.
And of course, more often than not, they get assassinated, racing license or not. I could granny shift and annihilate most of the cars I meet on the road, but occassionally I match up with an SL55AMG or an M5 from a few years ago, and I don't even try.. unless the road ahead is really twisty and my V1 is showing all signs clear =)

I can't believe you've gotten pulled over that many times ... what kinda cops were they? I've had my car since March 10th and I've never had a run in with the 5-0s. However, last night I thought I was going to get pulled over cuz I was driving home and I passed a cop parked on the side of the road and he whipped out behind me and just sat behind me. I have a taillight out so I thought for sure I was gunna get pulled over ... he dissapeared at the next light though, don't know what happened to him.
Either way, Welcome to the board! You should come to our meet on the 12th!
That's kind of hard to believe unless you live in a small town somewhere. Most poepl have seen an S2000 at least a couple of times. I saw 3 the other night while I was driving in Beaverton. And how can you have the top down when in the past 2 weeks it has rained almost every single day. The other thing is that cops can't pull you over to see what kind of car it is, that's illegal and they would not risk their job to do so. Perhaps you're stretching the truth a little?
I've had my car since last august, haven't had any attention from the popo at all. And I drive like a lunatic... especially in the rain. But the roads I drive every day don't have cops on them very often, thats kinda the point
Black2001S2K: I've had my top down on my car 5 or 6 days out of the last 20... yes its been rainy, but that doesn't mean that I can't drive to work with the top down if it doesn't happen to be raining while I'm on the road, my baby lives in the garage, so she's all dry in the morning. I just check to see if its wet before I pull out. You've got to take it when you can get it in Oregon

I have had an s2000 for a total of almost 4 years... I got pulled over twice in my 01 over a 3 year period (no tickets though), and once in my 05 (I got a field sobriety test, passed, and went home...).

I've been pulled over about Over 8 times since I bought the car 1 1/2 years ago... Never once did I get a warning or did they ask what kind of car it is!! DAMN!
Ran with an SL55 or M5? Hmmm....
Well congrats on the S2!
When I first got it, the top was done ALWAYS unless it was raining HEAVILY. HAHHA
Heater: check, TNF 700 down jacket: check....
More mph = less wet (maybe that's why I have the run-ins with the cops as mentioned above).
