I looks like it is almost sticking it's tongue out at you.

I like how it looks on your car, besides you can use the plate as a ground clearance device. If your plate scrapes, it is probably to high to go over!

Yes, it already has a few scrapes on the bottom. I had this on for a few months after i got the car painted. The group shamed me into removing the plate...

I have mine on my windshield. Don't you just have to have it somewhere in the front where they can see it?

Man... I thought cops don't check the front license plates (after the ticket)... what did he do? Walk to the front just on purpose?

I'll prob tell them it affects my aerodynamics.. (I do have them on though

I believe it actually has to be at the very front of the car, so you could still be ticketed for having it on your dash.

Never had a problem with my front plate. Got pulled over 3 times in the S2K all for different reasons but never for my front plate.

I have yet to be pulled over either, and now I plan to keep it that way.

As far as the cops checking for the front plate, they do that when the first see you (i.e. driving by). If they are sitting on the side of the road and you roll by w/out the plate, that is enough cause for them to pull you over b/c they will check to see if either the car or plate was reported stolen.

I believe that is what happened in Larry's case. Of course Larry can correct me if I am wrong But it sounded like the motor officer was just looking to pick on someone and Larry was in the wrong place at the right time.

Yep. I'll be out of town on my court date, so it appears that I can send in a written statement, along with a photo of the car with the plate on (I think I have one around here somewhere) AND the $97. I can plead no-contest and see if the court reduces the fine and returns part of the payment.

Of course I'll actually have to put the plate on - at least until that motorcycle cop gets transfered to another precinct!
One thing to remember Larry, now that you are in the system the cops will remember it, especially with the color being so unique.

You might have to wait for the entire precinct to turn over before taking it off.
