Default How are the LEO's in Oregon

Just wondering how strict are your states Law Enforcement Officers. I might be going up there to check a vehicle and don't want to get tickets galore.

Thanks folks!

It really depends on which area you are in, I would think they would give you some slack being from California and all. Let us know if your coming down, and we can set up a mini meet

Dont stand out and they'll leave you alone.

I have always run my front plate, but never even got a second glance on my 25% tint for all the times I've been pulled over

Gonna be a little hard to not stand out.

Red car with white rims.

I usually "try" to follow speed limits and such when I'm visiting places I'm not familiar with. Last time I was up there I got stuck around exit 131 iirc. Getting stuck at night sucked. With all the trees and stuff it reminded me of Blair witch, especially with the fog that was rolling through.

I'll let you know if I roll through. I'll be taking I5. Trying to work out deal with vehicle.

A ticket for no front plate is $120.

Some communities are tougher than others on this. Luck of the draw...

Some of our owners get away with no front plate and others get caught.

Good luck!

Totally depends on the area. I have not run a front plate since I got the car and I also have 5% limo tint on my car (thanks Dan! ). Haven't gotten a ticket yet, luck of the draw.

I would zip tie your plate on though.

I'm still scared for you Paul! Haha.

DOHC, also the rule of thumb is 5 MPH over the speed limit is the maximum, very good chance of getting pulled over if you are doing more. I know in Cali people tend to drive a minimal of 20-30 over the speed limit on the freeway. Our state patrol is pretty bad. Considering most of them are on motorcycles and can print tickets out, instead of writing it, so they generally don't have any remorse.

Dan's completely right though, compared to California highway driving, police are quite a bit more strict here

The old saying that I always heard about cops and the general rule of thumb for speeding was
"9 you're fine, 10 you're mine"
