Default Little Help with Turbo Pricing

Im new to the group and was wondering since quite a few of you guys are boosting, I was looking at your input on two things.......

Realistically on a turbo running a street tune (so DD mild) how much am I looking at total price? (I want PSI to tune and install)

Do you know where to get deals on forced induction?

I have heard to do it right you are talking 10K or so. Eric is the only active member who is turbo so he will be able to give you a better idea of the cost. We also have several guys who are SC.

Try PMing Mistman as well. He has an Inline-Pro kit, also recently tuned by PSI.

About 10k is a fair number though depending on power goals you may get by w/less. The stock clutch won't hold more than about 300whp/225ish tq., it'll slip after that. So technically w/out a lot of boost you could run stock. Greddy seems o.k. for an off the shelf CARB legal kit that'll keep the stock clutch and exhaust.

If you looking for closer to 400whp $10k is an honest number +/- $1kish. You'll need a clutch/flywheel, exhaust and quages, maybe even cooling mods though I don't have any and have never heated up but some do. I installed myself but got tuned twice, not sure how much install would be but I'm sure if PSI is doing the install they'll give you a decent deal on the tune but I would count on at least $1k but probably more. You'll probably need some sort of boost control and AFR monitoring also. It adds up pretty fast, I'd say if you want to get it done all at once the 'right' way, have about $10-12k ready to go.

If you want a Realistic price and your having a shop do it you should contact the shop. Your shop should cut you a good price on the kit if they are doing the install and tune.
