or maybe the welds are just getting weak...any way, hope u get fixed soon...i'm also looking at getting a hardtop for the upcoming winter season

Replacing your latches will most likely solve your problem with wind noise and movement/rubbing noise.
I had to have the latches upgraded on my 06 when I got my hardtop installed by Jay Lee's. I think that no matter the year, you will need to have the upgraded hardware.
