Marc did you get it? I noticed that the link is no longer working and I can't seem to find the posting. Well hope you got it.

I like the JS style out of the two you are looking at Huy

TS style is my favorite though

I actually have this hood, bought it probably three years ago and have never done anything with it (wanted to get it painted before putting it on):

The quality of Seibon seems to be hit-or-miss as far as imperfections in the weave. I bought this one off a friend and you really can't see any imperfections in it. On the other hand, I have another friend that had the same hood on his S (both from seibon, both the same style, and I think they even bought them from the same vendor), and his had a bunch of imperfections in the weave. But I guess since you're painting it, the weave doesnt matter much. As far as fit goes, both hoods fit the car just fine with no fitment issues, for what it's worth.

I prefer symmetrical hoods. Whether it's carbon or metal I'm indifferent, though I think CF needs to be painted body color. Vents I find somewhat over done, so I would keep that to a minimum.

If you do get a CF hood, don't get a knock-off (Seibon) like I had ... go for the real deal!

I have the real J's hood, it fits pretty nicely. But I guess the world can't be perfect.. The hood I have has a flaw in its weave.

But fit wise, its basically stock.

Since you are going SC, any sort of Vented hood is a welcome cooling mod. Man, I've been following the Craftwerks thread. If I had the money now, or didn't already have SC, I would be jumping on that for sure, base on the results people have been reporting.

Thanks guys for your input. I'm leaning towards the JS style. It has the right amount of vents and not too much for me. The Amuse style is nice too but I'm on the fence about the longer "crease." Brandon the TS style is nice hood but maybe too much for me personally. Paul I agree with you about making sure the hood is symmetrical.

Mike, that's the hood that I want. Are you using it now? If not, I'll buy it from you Have you noticed any gaps? The imperfection in the weave is not a big deal since I'm going to be painting it.

Daivd, I would love to have the real deal but the pricing is a tad too much for me since I'm buying my supercharger and already spent money getting everything ready for it.

Any idea what's the difference between Seibon and VIS?

Brian, I've been following the Kraftwerks thread for quite awhile and still am. It sounds like an awesome kit. I'm waiting for the high-boost kit, and once they are taking deposits, I'll be the first to make one. I'm hoping that will happen really soon. Since the expected release date is May/June and hopefully not longer. The wait is killing me.

Huy, I sent you a PM

David, or anybody that's had these hoods, know if the J's hood clears the factory airbox? I just remembered that I thought I read that here before? I never had the hood on my car when I was stock, and the other two guys I knew with the same hood didn't have the factory airbox either. Something to consider...

Thanks I got the PM. Thanks for your help. Good point Mike about clearing the factory airbox. I don't have one anymore but it is something to consider.
