so stick with 10 30? iv heard good things bout amsoil. I might give that ago. The burning part doesnt bother me dice it's always done that. I'm just looking for something to quiet the valves down and won't lose it's viscosity fast. For what ever reason my car runs hot. So the oil gets hot fairly quick if if drive it normaly. Idk I notice little things

all fluids on my S2000 are Amsoil and for the engine with turbo, i use their 10-30 ZRod. i change oil every around 3000+miles but not the oil filter. oil filter get change every 6000+miles. for the noise maybe you just need to adjust the clearance on your valves.

I used Royal Purple before this and it consumed about a quart every 3k miles. Sense I've switched to Mobil 1, it consumes about .7 of a quart every 1k miles. I only switched because Forged recommended it, sense they've seen lots of engines fail while using Royal Purple. Personally it's all I ran in my H22A for probably 40k miles and 20k miles in the s2k, and I had zero issues with it. I just assume that it's normal for a higher mileage AP1 to consume about a quart every 3k. I might try something else next though. RP is expensive lol
