Paint questions!
So, I had thought I had bought some paint protection thing when I got my car, but apparently I was misled. ;-) Anywho, point being is that I noticed some rock chips already!!!
I'm so upset!
A couple of questions:
1) what do you guys use to protect your paint?
2) does anyone know what the color code is for my car so I can get some touch up paint?
3) anyone know of a good way to touch up or should I just take it to a shop? If I take it to a shop, what are some good independent ones or go right to Honda?
Thanks so much!!

Hi Jenny,
The best way to protect the paint on the front of your car is with a "clear bra". This is a clear plastic film that is applied to the bumper, mirrors, etc. The best brand is 3M's Scotchgard : Here
The 3M brand is thicker than ohters and will not yellow. It must be installed by a professional who knows their stuff. I had mine done by 503 Motoring in Beaverton: Here The cost is about $450 and it comes with a 5 year warranty.
If you do a search on the S2KI site for "clear bra" you will find lots of information.
You should be able to pick up some touch-up paint from your Honda dealer. Applying it so you get good results is not easy. Again, do a search on the S2KI site for "touchup paint".
If you have lots of chips, you may need to have the bumper painted. I used Roth & Miller Auto Body on Stark: Here They have an excellent reputation and do all the body work for Acura of Portland.
If you have it repainted, you will need to wait 90 days to have the clear bra applied, so you just have to be carefu in the meantime.
Good luck!
Larry

You can also get Honda brand touchup paint that is supposed to be an "exact" match for your color (as much as touchup paint can be) from H and A or Hardtopguy I believe.
Never used this stuff before, but it was recommended in the Wash and Wax forum. To be used with the touch up paint.
