Looks good Brandon! I'm anxious to see a good photo outside with better lighting.

Where are you mounting your radar detector? I just got one and thinking about mounting it to the rear wind deflector.

Larry
I am not sure where I am going to mount mine yet I will probably just mount it just under the rear view mirror

What does a Valentine V1 set you back? I have not opened mine yet and I have heard good things about the V1. I don't really want to spend a ton of $$ though.

Thanks for the comments everyone

gomarlins3- Yeah, in the pics they look really black but the metallic flake doesn't really show up too well in these pics. In sunlight they look pretty close to the mugen bronze. Either way my first choice of color was bronze with black being my second choice so I got best of both for me

$400. Mine has already paid for itself because it's saved me a few times on I-5.

Yeah that is a bit more than I want to spend. I used to have a older Bel and it did just fine for me. The one I have now is the Cobra XRS9530. It has a pretty good track record from what I have seen.

Did you expect better pics from me? You guys will just have to wait to see them in person. <-A little plug for you all to come to all the drives this coming season

Tell us about it. Mostly in Oregon or Washington? Are they using radar or laser? Where are you finding them? Come on - give us some stories!

Before I bought the V1 I did some research over on the Radar Detector forum:

Radar Detector Forum

This newest review of the major brands is what clinched my decision on the V1:

Looks damn good!!

Dark rims makes the S look so aggressive. And ditto on matching your side mirrors.
