Then off to paint. I was hoping to have it ready by the picnic at Vancouver Lake but it doesn't look like its going to happen. I have a business trip in a week then I will be on vacation the last 2 weeks of July and will be out of state. So I'm now hoping to have it before I leave, send it to paint and have it ready by the time I come back from vacation. I'll let you know when I get everything.[/quote]
I'm going with the Tamon Design Duckbill Spoiler. I'll post pix when I get it.
I see that on the forums all the time, its not worth fighting over
Ive always thought it should call the officers judgement into question if they can't even put the name of a vehicle that is parked in front of them corectly on paper but apparently its de minimis, sadly going 5 over is also something that should fall under the category of de minimis.

There is a lot of little things to consider to see if it's worth fighting.
If you can take traffic school, just do that.
If you cant, it cant hurt to fight it. Worst thing that can happen is you get stuck with the ticket.
Was the area a speed ZONE or a speed LIMIT?
If it was a speed ZONE, Basic Rule applies - Can you prove you were driving at a safe and prudent speed for conditions?
Was there prevailing speed due to traffic?
The Federal Highway Administration specifically recommends officers allow a tolerance for speed of no less than 5mph in any zone. State law superceeds the recommendation, but it is also a possible defense (see HERE for all the legal-ese).
If you fight, you probably wont win, but if you have nothing to lose...?

Its not a big deal to me. Its not a large fine and my insurance doesnt even check for these things unless i start to get multiple ones in a small time frame.
I stood out since it was on an uphill section, so while I was doing 65 the people in the right lane were likely doing 55 because they always seem to lose speed going uphill there.
What bugs me about these things is that our cars can easily get to the speed limit and then have a lot left in them. That and more and more cars being engineered today are consistantly getting faster. Sometimes I feel like its hard to not pass the limit. I hope that doesnt come across wrong, its just that I think our cars easily do 60 without trouble and can handle safely above that speed. Where as with my 90 ford ranger, its not hard to do the speed limit. Its slow and has shakes above 75.
I know its the law, and I abide by that, but we all have our moments. I dont think any of us bought the car to always drive the speed limit. These things bum me out, not because I have to pay, but because it reminds me that I cant have too much fun.

I am sure we all have stories like that (unfortunately). My first time getting pulled over I was going around a sharp turn at the 25 mph speed limit while a cop was going the other direction. He did a u-turn and flipped on the lights. He said that he almost "wore me as a hood ornament." At the end of the day (after asking me if I was the owner, if I was drinking, etc.) he admitted that he just wasn't used to seeing cars go around that corner that fast, even if it was at the speed limit. That's the hassle we get for having a car that has a good power/weight ratio and pulls 0.9 g.

Yikes Chris, I'm sorry man.
