.........The SS2k is not dead.......... It may look like a train wreck currently but once I get everything fired up and running good we will pull it all back out and have it painted.

Maybe it's time to invest in a torque wrench, protractor and big pipe...
If you hear clicking from the axle area might want to also rule out its not sound from the brakes. I had my axle nuts retorqued twice in the same week when I heard what I thought was axle nut clicking. Turned out it was the brake caliper, which apparently makes a click when you switch from reverse to 1st or 1st to reverse. It can also happen when I roll backwards while in neuteral and then drive foward. However this sound is only apparent when i apply the brakes during or after the gear change.

Hope that makes sense.

I tested this by simply putting the car in reverse and rolling a few feet, then into first and drove forward a few feet. The moment I tap the brakes it would click.

hmm, interesting, hadn't heard of that. Re-did the nuts and all seems to be good. They weren't hard at all to break loose, almost the same amount as the lung nuts so torqued to 180 then the extra 60*. The bloody squeaking at the rear it's getting old, time to whip the wheel off and see whats going on.

Owned my car for almost a year and I finally made it to my first meet. I still don't know any other S2k owners and would like to get connected with fellow Honda Lovers. Not sure where to start but if someone sees me out and about feel free to come and say hi, I'm Travis in the custom Blue AP1
