Default Sad news!

Got rear ended while waiting at a traffic light on Cornelius Pass near Cornell intersection (Hillsboro). The driver of the truck that hit me accelerated rather than brake!!! So sad and waiting to hear from insurance company tomorrow. My poor car was so well maintained and had only 52K miles on it

Have owned this 02 since 04 and it seems to be totaled from the damage ... The firemen came over and surprised at no damage to the passenger compartment ....so guys we should be proud of the structural rigidity and design of the car. So close to the supercharger install too ........ (planned next month)

See album here ....

Damn Abhi, youve owned that so long now, really heartbreaking. Im glad you alright though.

Deffinatly looks totaled as far as cost to repair vs. value of the car. Sad too since the truck looks like itll need a new bumper and little else.

Again though, glad your alright.

Oh Abhi,

I'm so sorry, my friend texted me yesterday and asked if I I saw the silver S in an accident as I had just drove through that area earlier and I must have been before you. Chris is right, the good news is you are alright, cars are always replaceable. (hopefully we'll see you in an S soon)

Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

Ira

I'm glad you're OK, Abhi. Really sad to see the car but it can be replaced.
Is there another S in your future if this one is totaled?

And I echo Ira's sentiment that if there is anything we can do to let us know!

That's horrible news. Glad you're ok. Sandwiched between two trucks, the S held up pretty good. Hope you can get back into another S.

Thanks for the well-wishes and offer to help (will keep in mind). Insurance paperwork in progress, will update. The only hurt is emotional at the moment. The S has served me well for 10 yrs over 2 states, 2 kids and 2 dogs .

Dang Abhi. That is really sad to look at. I'm glad to hear you are ok though!

I'd be a little surprised if they don't total it just due to the age and severity of damage

I hope you get another S2k if yours is totaled it would be even more sad to see such a responsible owner leave the community.

Let me know if there is anyway I may be of service throughout the whole claim process or search for another S2000.
