Shaving badges?
I really want to shave the badges on my S. When they do this do you need new paint for the whole panel or just the local area?(I know newby ?) I have never done this on any car so I am not sure what it all involves
It just looks so smooth though
Any places that will do this for a good price in the Portland area?

I would use the Gillette "Twin-Trac" and lots of shaving cream.
No, really, what are you trying to do? The side emblems (S2000) can be removed and you will have just bare paint.
The front and back "H" emblems will both leave large holes - two in the back and three in the front. If you do this you will have to have the holes plugged and then have the front bumper and trunk lid re-painted.
I did this. If you are going on the drive tomorrow you can see how mine look before deciding.

I, personally, am a fan of the s2000 badges on the side, but those are the easiest to remove as there are no holes, like larry said. On the drive tomorrow you can check out his "naked" look, along my ricks S badges (that replace the stock "H" badges)
It would be quite spendy to have the holes patched and then the bumper/trunk repainted... And probly, bang for the buck, not be worth it. Unless of course your doing a complete color swap, then it is basically a free mod in the process, like Larry did

I am a fan of the badges on the S2000, especially the "S2000" badges on the sides; I don't like it when there are none. I think when the "H" badge from the front is removed it looks clean, but I don't really have a preference either way.
