Default Tires

Looking for new tires for my stock wheels. Anyone recommend a place or have a hookup?

Dunlop Star Specs are what I am currently running. Great tire, a little louder that others that I have used, but they have great grip. These seem to be the tire of choice by S users. I believe they are getting replace later this year so supplies may be low.

I believe there is still a deal going on for some Hankooks, Aaron (Sabre)posted the deal in the deals and discount thread.

Good Luck!

I ran the Dunlop Direzza's (pre-cursor to the Star Specs). They were exceptional tires and I got 24k out of them, which was amazing. Dunlops provide great grip and road feel. I agree with Huy, they were a little louder, but I didn't really care/notice that much.

Currently I am on Goodyear Eagle GT1's. I love these as much as I did the Dunlops. I have found that once warmed up they are just as grippy and a little quieter than my old Dunlops. When cold, I tend to have a little less traction that I normally would like. But I love that I can still drive aggressively when desired, yet when needed I have decent wet traction for fall/winter/spring driving.

I got both sets at America's tire and was very happy with the deal that they worked for me.

Star specs here! Go to America's tire, they Price match. Find a cheap price online and bring it in.

Michelin Primacy HPs will only set you back a bit over $1000 mounted and balanced. I like them cuz they're totally round, really black, and will last close to 15,000 miles.

Thinking of running some star specs for the performance, or saving a little bit of $$$ and getting sumitomo HTRz3, not sure yet though

The Hankook RS3 is a nice choice as well. Jason (s2k-2NV) just got them and he likes them.
