If you do not daily your car, the hankook RS3's are sticky (140 treadwear) and much cheaper than the star specs. I ran a brand new set of the RS3's a few weeks ago at the track and they held up great. I could not get them to break loose around corners even with the traction control off. Mind you, they will only last 10,000 to 12,000 miles. If you daily your car, i would get the star specs. I was the black car that was behind you, sorry I did not catch your name.

Sad part is, is that it has a HFC and two silencers in the exhaust. Not sure how else to make it more quiet. Thought the Q300's were suppose to be quiet???

when I had the q300 on my car that thing was quiet!

btw if anyone is buying tires I believe discount-tire direct is having a 100$rebate special which is stack-able on other MFG rebates.

John:

I have Conti DSW on my Acura and Accord. They are great high-perf all season tires, very quiet and a bit soft. I was wondering why you put them on the S? I think the Conti DW (Dry-Wet, no snow) would be better choice. My last track day was partly rained out so I had a tough time with my Sumitomo HTRZ-IIIs in the wet and am looking for a set with a little better wet traction, being Portland and all.

These are the new continental extreme contact dws tuned. Got a great deal. Needed new tires as just bought some work Meister s2 rims. Running 255/35/18 on back and 225/40/18 on front. Jeff takes care of the tires for all my cars. Also gives the best deal and no haggle. Are these what you are running or different?

Hey John, did you buy your wheels from a guy out in the Scappose area? I should my old set to a guy in that area who had a silver S. I believe he was supercharged. When he bought the wheels he said he was going to powder coat them black.

I got them from a guy in the Hawthorne area who had an s2000 and sold it. Not sure if it was supercharged but the wheels were on a silver one at one time. They are black and they had stern caps which I find funny. Ordering the Works ones this week. Could be the same person. Anyway to determine if they were your old ones or not? Love the wheels and the black on black look

If they're for AP1 wheels I have a set of BFG sports that are like new. I only used them for a couple hundred miles before I switched to my current rim/tires set up. If you're interested, they're on my very badly curbed AP1 wheels and I'm not separating them but I'll let them go for cheap.

looked at discount tire direct, they want $539 for a set of V12's, not sure thats a good deal. May call the tire factory and get a quote from them. Any of you get some V12's here locally, or some sumitomo HTRZ3's? If so, where and how much?
