Default Going on vacation to Orlando

hey guys, me and my friend are planning on going to Orlando, Florida for Memorial Weekend. We will be flying to Orlando on the 20th and would like to check in on the 20th and check out the morning of the 24th. Does anyone work at any hotels or anywhere that could get me a good price on hotels? The choice of the hotel and such doesn't really matter as long as it's a good/decent price, since we probably won't be spending too much time in the hotel.

Also, does anyone know if there is anything to do around the Orlando area? Would I need to rent a car?

Avoid hotels/motels on the South Orange Blossom Trail and anything on West Colonial Drive... I swear, you wouldn't believe how many people are suckered in by a web site only to find out they are spending their vacation in Crack Whore Central... best bet, it you want to stay in the Orlando area, is do something in or around the tourist corridor... International Drive even some of the Disney "budget" properties may be cutting deals on their rooms... Trail and West Colonial, bad.

Yeah... unless you are content to hang out in the land of the mouse for your entire stay a rental would be a worthy investment...
