So I was driving and looked at my tach to see that a part of it was no longer lit from behind. The left side of the cluster is darker now. Has anyone had any experience changing a bulb from behind the gauges like this? It looks complicated.

 

Ive never heard of it happening before. Is the car still under warranty?

 

Looks like the bulb went out I would take it to Honda and have them take care of it, If for some reason they wont I can help you put a bulb in it.

 

It's not uncommon. You might use the instructions below to get behind the tach/speedo to see if you can replace the bulb.

Note that these instructions are for the side dash control bulbs, but you can see that it will also help you get the tach/speedo out.

Barry: It just went out of warranty last month. Of course.

 

UPDATE: Got an estimate on replacing the bulb. About $200. No kidding. They have to drop the steering column and such. I'll leave it alone.
