AutoX event schedule
Hi Wing, becky is becoming a track addict and need another fix. can you confirm that the next AutoX event (open to public) is at SBP on Sunday Sept 14?
I know there is one on Aug 23rd, but Ottawa has visitors from Quebec coming that day....hmmmm, maybe i can sneek in a couple of hits before lunch that day. it's not me, i don't need another fix, it's just that becky keeps honking her horn. ever since i hooked up her USB cable, she seems to know there's more to life than meeting at M&M and the occasional trip down Esso road. She swears she'll go straight this time, i just need to take her out so she can prove it.
I know the season's coming to an end and becky will be pissed if she misses out on any open events. she doesn't want to do the gravel track cause she doesn't want the tell-tale scars that shows she's a track addict.
Becky checked out the MCO website, but she wants confirmation of the events she can go to. she promised me that she would stop honking her horn as soon as i can confirm the dates when she can
get another fix.
thanks
PS, i think she's reading these posts.

No event on the 23rd, next event is the 14th then the 28th.
There is a track event me and Steve are going to at MoSport DDT on the 31st, it's also a school if you are interested I would say you would need to take the school. It's a good deal though. $300.00 for the SCHOOL (includes lapping) for students

you would say i need to take the school course? almost everyone at autoX last weekend would agree with the understatement of the year.
sideways is really fun, but it's kinda slow.
can you PM me with the details? i am up for the school portion as well... it's cheaper than my tires.
anyone know of a good place to buy a helmet that meets the specs for these events?

is there a specific rating required for the helmet?
going to school at the end of the month. becky's going to get a hit of the good stuff.
with luck, they'll be able to tighten up the loose nut behind the wheel at the same time.

For lapping and autox the typical minimum is a Snell rated (as recent as possible) M (motorcycle) helmet. You can get those locally.
There is a SA (special application) helmet that is required for full wheel to wheel racing and cars with full roll cages. The difference is that SA helmets are tested for fire resistance an multiple impacts, instead of just a single for the M helmets. You can get a cheap G-Force (like mine) from No Limits Autoparts locally.
