Default 2 days to install a CD player?

Okay, gotta have your guys' opinion

My new car's CD player decided it was hungry right off the bat and ate my CD a few days after I got the car.

Went to Bellevue Honda, Parker said "yup, let's order you another CD player"

This was almost a month ago - needless to say no one called to say the CD player had arrived, but anyway...

So I had an appointment for today to have the new one installed. Dropped the car off last night, with the expectation that I'd pick it up at close-of-business today.

Just got a call from the service advisor - they want to keep the car overnight tonight, too... she said "well this technician is very careful with the S2K's..." Yeah, I know that, which is why I only wanted Parker to work on the car...

But two full days for a CD player install? I mean, Parker's good and all, but isn't that just a bit overboard?

Personally I think the car hasn't been touched yet and they're behind schedule, and want me to suck it up.

Annie

Come to Tacos tonight and I'll do it in about 15 minutes!

Better check the odo on Marcus IV - Bellevue has the reputation for joyriding techs.

I did check the odo when I dropped it off, and they put it on the RO so I have it in their system, too.

Also had them put "no test drives" right on the RO too - yeah, I'm having a CD player installed, and I'm still worried about them test driving it!

Should I just call them back and say stay late & get it done, I'll be there at 6? Kinda worried that something happened to the car & they're trying to keep me away while they fix it.

I sincerely doubt Parker would even want to joyride a S2000. He still freaks out when I take him for a ride in my car, but then again it seems like everyone except Mira does.

I'd freak out, too.

I totally trust Parker but not the other yahoos that work there...

2 days for a stereo install is just silly. Unless you're having some custom work done at a high end stereo shop there is no reason it should take that long. Dollars to doughnuts (don't ask where that came from) they're running behind schedule...

Should take no more than 30 minutes to do the swap. I think they screwed up, like no radio code or something, or they busted the radio door frame when they pulled it off.
