Default Clear Diffusers

Any advice on installing clear diffusers in my headlights before I jump in. I noticed Jerry was mentioned in Rick's tutorial. Just wonder if theres anything I should really watch out for.

I can discuss at length why this is a waste of time.

Use an oven and proceed slowly. I recommend using some protection for your hands. Mechanix gloves would be an excellent idea. Remember to use very low heat in the oven, ~200F will require about 10 minutes of bake time. Please error on the undercook side. The real 'gotcha' is prying apart the headlights. Once the sealant starts to harden, you need to put the assembly back into the oven and repeat. If you get impatient and keep prying, you may need a new headlight assembly. The going rate for an assembly is $400-500, so I recommend doing it right the first time. If you haven't removed the front bumper before, it can be a little tricky to put it back on.

This operation is a major hassle and it doesn't make the car go any faster.

im glad i did it. took me and a buddy roughly 2 hours or so to do it a while back. when you silicone everything back together, dont be stingy with the silicone. mine haven't fogged up once, no water vapor, etc.

and yes, use hand protection when handling the hot headlamps. my hands still managed to get a little burnt.

Max, just take one good look at Jerry's car and your reservations about doing this modification will go right "off track" just like he does when he takes his car on a road course.

It's the best bang for the buck appearance mod. The US ambers suck big time.

hehe... it's a PITA - but I'd do it again given the choice. The amber is an eyesore.
