Comptech flywheel with ACT PP update
So I've been driving my silver crapper around with the new clutch for the past two weekends which has provided sufficient time for me to get used to the new feel.
Positives
The ACT pressure plate grabs harder. I end up spending less time feathering the clutch than before. The clutch grabs earlier and harder so I've been adjusting my shifting style to get used to the slightly faster revs on the upshift. Where I really feel the benefit of the lightened flywheel is when rev matching. Blipping the throttle is much more instant. There's none of the that rubberband effect. As to the left leg workout. Noticeable at first, but you get used to it. My left quad still needs weights to make it go BIG. I don't notice any of the need more revs to get going from a start thing. Perhaps it's because I added the ACT PP on there at the same time?
Development areas
None that I can think of off the top of my head. Time will tell. Hopefully this clutch will last for the ownership of my car.
Development areas
I recommend this modification should your clutch go out. If you have the stock clutch and it's working fine, just avoid driving one with my setup and you'll be perfectly content.
