Date stuff to do around here?
Ok...well, it's not really a first date. It's probably a 500th date or so
It's more of a long-standing thing. And at that, she'll be staying for a few nights too.
She flies in on July 4th so what's the best fireworks show?
She's been wanting to see Vancouver (as have I) so what's there?
I personally like really good food so is there a really good restaurant around here?
Any special night-life stuff?
Any fun drives?
(Even though my S is in the shop
)

That sounds way too convenient!
When do ya ship her back off? heh!
4th of July is hard to say. If you go downtown (Seattle) traffic sucks, and it is usually so packed it is not worth it. A good idea would be to take a local cruise on a charter ship (they have bars) and see the fireworks from the water would be a hell of an idea. If you are feeling super-bling, make a reservation for dinner in the space needle if there are still any available.

Gas Works Park fireworks are great. Don't let the traffic scare you, that's the life here.
Park anywhere in the Wallingford area and walk to the park. It's fun and crowded and you can buy food and drinks there, climb up kite hill and stake out a spot and listen to music while you wait for the fireworks to start.
One of the best restaurants in Seattle: Dahlia Lounge - downtown on - I think 4th Another fab one is a gourmet vegetarian place: Carmelitas on Phinney Ridge in Seattle. One last tip - Capital Hill has some really fun bars and good restaurants, it's a really cool and interesting scene.
Let us know where you end up.

no reason to get all fancy. just hit it and split it.
but eat well. yes... check out el camino in fremont as well as chinoise on queen anne. fancy places just aren't as fun. they have a time and place like with your wifey, but not with some visiting lay. on a nice day out, sitting out at duke's on alki is sweet too. blu water bistro on a sunny evening is the best scene in seattle, but here, don't go with chicks that expect you to give your attention to them. if the chick ain't hot as hell, she's gonna feel inadequate --> bad mood.
i honestly cannot recommend any place outside of the seattle area. WA is pretty ghetto like that.

If you want a restaurant down in the Tacoma area, try E.R. Rogers in Steilacoom. It's an old Victorian mansion that's been converted into a restaurant. Food is rather good and the views of Puget Sound can be quite nice.
