Default Front plate

I'm still driving without one because I don't have the hardware and I'm not motivated to get it because I don't really want one... Am I the only one, and should I just bite the bullet and stick it on, or are there other people driving around with no problems?

This is a pretty common question. I grabbed this recent thread from the top of the search results.

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...nt%20plate&st=0

The highlights include:
Yes, you are legally required to use a front plate.
The ticket will run you about $101.

Your likelyhood of receiving this citation is dependent upon many factors. Some folks have gone seven years without a ticket, others only made it a few hundred yards from the dealership lot. Your results may vary. Common sense dictates that putting it on would be a good idea.

No front plate for me for 3 1/2 years. drives much faster without

the law states that a plate isrequired but you can be exempt if you have no way to mount it. something like that...............

Common sense? C-mon Jerry, what fun is that?! Of course I'm cheap enough that when I finally do get a ticket I will install it and show the judge a pic and hope it gets reduced. But until then.... I'm rollin nekid. It looks better.

I have the plate and some bolts in my trunk so that I can show a cop that I'm at least making an effort, if I ever get pulled over.

I've never had a front plate on any of my cars!

Was pulled over once for it on my s2000, I played the dumb blonde roll ... worked pretty well! =)

I have the Rick's holder but haven't had it on in over a year. The only problem I've had is a cop at Sea-Tac said I should put one on while I was waiting to pick someone up.

I never had it on my S2. Went about 14 months without being pulled over for it once. Then I was snagged 4 times in 2 months for it. But each othe 4 times were warnings. I had a pretty good excuse.
I don't have it on the FX either, but I'm not too worried about the cops pulling over a big SUV for no plate.
