Going down to Homecoming last year there was a stretch where I went ~45 miles with the light on. Filled up; 12.2 gallons.

I don't know about you guys but my gas gauge sucks. I filled up 12 gallons once and had 4 bars left. I don't chance it anymore haha

I drive with no bars frequently, I typically put in about 11.5-12 gal at each fill up. I have a far commute so it just works out that way sometimes. I have run out of gas before. I carry a 2 gal gas can in my pickup truck just incase I need it, cant really do that in the S though

This reminds me of that old Seinfeld episode when Crammer wants to see how far he can go on E before running out of gas. It is kind of a rush lol

i pushed it for a good 26-27 miles after the light turned on, i was driving to DC from Sea and i was about 500 miles away from my destination somewhere in PA, the gas stations were spread out far, every 80-120 miles,..

lets just say when that light turned on and i didn't know where exactly the gas station was, and my GPS couldn't find one.. i became highly religious!!! hahaha i was lucky that i was going down hill the entire time!

Yeah, I’m sure the buzzards that were following you were disappointed you made it too

On my move to California I didn't anticipate the light and it went on with no gas station in sight. GPS said there was one approx. 35 miles away. I made it but when I filled up I owed the car a little past the fuel tank capacity. Might have been punishment or the fuel lines were full of air. lol

I won't make that mistake again...

In my ap2 I can make it a few miles before I get nervous and pull in to fill up! In my ap1 that I just purchased if I let it get below 2 bars it shutters and throws a misfire code onetime it was so bad the cel came on flashing, pulled over to the side pushed it to the safeway gas station filled her up and she's been great!

The first week I bought my car, a buddy and I went through some twisty roads out in sandy, oregon at 1am in the morning and barely made it to the gas station. Filled exactly 13.0 gallons of gas and the tank is only 13.2 ... Now these days, anything close to a 1/4 tank i fill the car up..haha
