Like everyone is saying, It's harder to appreciate because it's OK, but your health is your #1 priority. Cars come and go, but what you live with is your body and your well-being.

On a secondary note, If the top is not latching well, you definitely want to make sure the appraiser checks everything. What might seem as simple as a few outside body parts may actually end up to be more serious trouble underneath including: frame and mechanical damage.

Good to know you're okay!

At least you got to have atleast one day to play at PGP. I hope that what ever happens, you won't be out of the game too long.

That is a bummer man if mine was in an accident like that I would also want it totaled. If her insurance is paying make sure you get a quote for repair from a nice shop (IE one that has nice facilities and only replaces damaged components with new factory oem equipment). Her company will likely try and press you into using one of their shops which will most likely use used or reclaimed parts to keep costs low. If you get a quote from someplace like Meto Auto Rebuild, or Foreign Auto, or Seattle Automotive you will likely get a much higher cost of repairs (because in my opinion they do a better job and use honda parts) which could push them towards totaling your car or at the very least a nice shop will complete the repairs. Just some food for thought good luck!

I feel for you, it's never fun dealing with a auto body shop. There idea of complete/perfect is different then yours.......My wives '08 TL was hit in a hit-n-run and my insurance was trying to use refurbished headlights and a non-OEM hood, fenders and bumper. The cars was only 8 months old and they wanted to use that --it, I've never put a claim on my insurance, so I'm sure I've paid enough over the last 20 plus years to cover the $9300 in damage. Not to mention the owner of the body shop said, he'd never put that stuff on his "NEW" TL. So dont back down........ Any way glad to hear you ok, we were bummed you couldn't make it..... P.S. Heads up to everyone out there, Stevens Pass season passes go sale starting this wednesday.
