??? lol what was that sposed to mean? xD
I remember when KUBE first came on to the air. They called themselves "The New 93". Dang, I'm a geezer!
Your ECU will remap itself, if that's really the problem. There's not really any need and probably not much benefit to resetting it. But it's easy enough to do.

I have had the same problem lately. I'm in agreement with Optikal on this one. The ECU is learning.
My original battery still has the blue ring with the red dot.
BTW, I bought and installed the OEM block heater. It was my Fifth mod.
I have never used it.

I think this turning over thing is more of a SC contribution than the weather. it's not even that cold out yet esp if you park in a garage. it's fairly consistent temps esp in the morning.
i know that my car off and on sometimes requires a little more starter engine love than others. but then i'm not blown.

And as for this ECU... y'all make it sound like it's some sort of wizard of OZ taking in all this info and sorting it out H.A.L. style. i read of peeps saying ECU noticeably increased butt dyno power....
haha...you guys crack me up.
I wasn't purposely poking at anyone...just saying it doesn't reset your radio..and you won't have to fumble around for the radio security code.
Anyhow...I used those instructions to reset my ECU about a month ago. Although I didn't notice much of a power increase, I did see my gas mileage improve. My commute is exactly the same. I drive at nearly the same level of aggressiveness/non-aggressivenes. I can now get up to 260miles on a tank...where as before I was getting 220-230.
let us know if resetting the ECU helps.

If the car is sitting outside overnight then the problem source is likely the battery. Run down to Schucks for a free battery test. If you have extra electrical devices, take care to charge up the battery before parking the car for the night. Unless you want to show off your jumper cables.
A block heater would not improve cold weather starting performance. A block heater would keep the coolant in the engine from freezing. Coolant freezing is a bad thing because water expands when it transitions to a solid. That expansion would crack the engine block.

someone say crack?
