just talk to alex. they don't recommend soldering the connections with the ESM. they use quality german connectors so yo udon't have to resort to soldering which is not necessarily a good thing.

i would never go vortech. i don't wanna drill anything into my engine. plus their parts look ghetto cheap.

It know it does looks cheap for 4 grand especially the satin one but the horsepower it produced are more than comptech though and also it has 3 years warranty and you can upgrade to get more boost and will not void my warranty. Don't get me wrong I like Comptech a lot because of the ease of installation and it's just my budget is not there for Comptech.

I have heard nothing but good things about TorqueFreaques.
Living in Van, and having someone else do the install, DaFreaques should do you good.

Did the quote include any dyno time? With a vortech, you might want to think about having them check the A/F ratio, before you call it done.

it's all good man. i can appreciate being fiscally conservative when it comes to car expenditures.

but it ain't all that much more for the comptech. if you're short $1K, just save up until you can get it. better than resorting to an engine mod that's permanent like drilling freakin' holes.

and that whole vortech makes more hp... you wanna race? you're going to be sorely disappointed to see that the vortech does not pull at all from the comptech unit because it is so damn close. heck, it might be a day to day difference given that the car may or may not run 100% all the time with the blower. more boost? pls. you're puttinga additional stress on the engine/car. call vortech, call comptech, guess which one you can reach a real person real fast? comptech.

at the end of the day, not worth it to me to go vortech. ugly kit. drilling holes into the engine. hell no. give me comptech's name and reliability and the local peeps who are running it that you can bounce ideas off of. well worth the extra $$s.
I agree with you. Comptech is just a better overall unit than Vortech plus like WRS2K stated, the Vortech looks like as*!
