Default K&N Intake

Hey Guys/Gals. I have an 08 s2k and I am bout to purchase a K&N intake system. I have two options 57 series and 63 series. What is the difference? Which model is best for my application. I appreciate your feedback and thanks for your time. -Draven

I thought K&N only makes the 63 series for our cars.

Thmotorsports rep ask me which series I wanted to purchase, 57 or 63. After further research I believe the rep was wrong and rdizzle your post is correct. Looks like I am buying the 63 series

They are both the same, one is carb approved (and comes with a sticker), the other is not.

I was told to purchase the 63 series for my 08 s2k, so I did. $226.00 shipped from streetsideauto.com. Here's a link from a previous thread on 57 vs 63 series. https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/601...#entry13525615
Next on the to-do list is get an etune, yeah buddy

Unfortunately they both require the hole to be drilled.

Congrats! I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine. Some people have complained about heat bog but, despite the warm weather that we have been getting, I don't notice any bogging at all. Make sure the intake is sealed against your hood though.

First try:

1" Gap. Need to do some adjusting...

Second try:

Gluing the Edge Trim down to the heat shield. Hopefully it stays put.

I fixed it! Lol, needed a little bit of tweaking
