Actually going in...

They are part of the "top down" setting for the evironment control. It keeps the air blowing into the lower part of the cabin in the lower part of the cabin. Plugging them up would impact the usability of that setting.

If you are talking about the vents behind the seats at the same height as the cargo hooks I was told they were to let some of the pressure out of the trunk when you slam the lid down. I thought the same as Jerry, but when I was at the dealer having the seatbelt TSB done, I was suprised to see that the vents went nowhere. I asked the mechanic what they were for, and that's what he said. I think the vent under the steering wheel is for your "top down pleasure"

Hmmm... I feeling a little ignorant! Can somebody tell me what a seatbelt TSB is? When I pickup my car from the dealer, does this need to be done???? Any other advice on what I should be checking on when I pick the car up?

There was a recall on the seatbelt for some early models. If your buying new, don't worry about it.

Check out the FAQ? section for this and other known issues.
