Default modified exhaust!

it sounds like a lot of us in the import scene keep getting harassed for modified exhaust systems and some of us instead of fighting this ridicules law are turning to things like making there systems look like oem or just buying oem instead. i don't know much about changing laws but im sure someone here does and with all are help we can probably do something about it because if they see that we just bend over and take there B.S laws they will just keep messing with us and adding more dumb laws until we all drive super not cool smart cars!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have heard of people getting tickets dropped by showing that the exhaust is made for your car. For instance if you had a HKS-Hi-Power Exhaust that you bought from Vivid Racing or something print out the part that shows its for a 00-05 Honda S2000 and show the Judge I dont know from experience its just one of those things i have hear work before.

I think they are worried more about custom exhaust and people running no cats.

I have the T1R 70mm EM single exhaust and matching test pipe. I was recently pulled over because of the noise. I do have this info printed out and in my car: http://www.typeoneracing.com/catalog/produ...1&cat=81&page=1

That and being able to fit the oem cat cooling plates over the test pipe made it look legal enough for the cop to not give me a ticket

Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

The reason this is a law is because most of the rest of us don't want to hear your car, no matter how much you want us to.

that they should go after the "loud pipes save lives" crowd as well.

In other news, maybe the original poster's confused and it was really the Grammar Police that was harassing him.

Are you crying because you broke the law and were caught? my .02 contact sema, they can give you information on carb legal exhaust systems for the s2k if there's any and pending legal matters with the state to legalize certain aftermarket parts.
