Im just trying to help...

I replaced them back to back, and noted the differences right there... JMO.

Please show me proof that the HKS is NOT restrictive or that it uses bigger piping. Im not arguing, I would just like to know so I don't misinform people.

I wouldn't know. My I/H/E is totally stock. Must be why I'm so slow.

Wyatt, welcome to real life. You're a big boy now.

I do encourage you to go out to PIR sometime like you were talking about doing. It might give you a different perspective on the value of some of these things. Or maybe not, I guess.

I knew what you meant. I would still guess that I'm the only person in this conversation who has ever designed an actual exhaust system. About half the 737s flying today have my exhaust system on the APU.

You couldn't possibly "feel" a difference with the modifications listed in this thread. The acceleration difference for 3ft/lbs is probably 0.01g sustained on a 2800lb car. I doubt if any of these modifications "add" enough power to measure with anything but presicion instruments. Saying that you can "feel" a difference is an extreme anecdote wouldn't you agree?

Variances in engine note more than likely account for your perception.

Surely the louder tont would add to the pseudo effect. I wont argue that. But I will argue that there IS a power loss and gain in different exhausts.

Mike, I'll be at PIR once Im home for the spring. If you think Im buying these parts to shave times and race around, guess again... I enjoy personalizing my car and making it fun to drive. That's all.

WHEN I AM WRONG, COULD YOU GUYS PLEASE EXPLAIN IT FOR ME? IM HERE TO LEARN AND TO SHARE THE (be it little) KNOWLEDGE I HAVE... YA'LL SAID I HAVE UNTAPPED RESOURCES HERE IN THE PNW BUT ITS EASIER TO FIT A WATERMELON THROUGH THE HKS EXHAUST THAN IT IS TO GET HELP HERE.

.......... he'd be able to feel a newly created hole in the torque curve that can easily be misinterpreted as a gain (only a rate of change gain in reality) by the old trusty seat-o-da-pants-dyno.

wrongo bongo, I've designed numerous exhaust systems (packed with all kinds of theory) for both dirt bikes and model airplane engines ................... too bad they all sucked a$$$$$$$$

Just be glad you didn't design the rudder actuation parts on that beloved 737 of yours

BTW, you think 1/2 of all the 737's flying today? .... maybe domestically but not all
I know you're old, but you ain't liggy old ....... are you?
