Default My S2k was stolen ):

I came out of work friday to find my car gone. It was taken some time between 2pm and 5.30pm right outside my work (96th and Stone way, a small IT company). Earlier in the week there was a break in attempt on my car (found fingerprints on the inside of the window), but they didn't get in. They did however break into a co-worker's Saturn parked next to mine. Looks like the same people came back to get mine Friday. I had planned to look into alarms this weekend, but thats too late.

It sounds unlikely that I'll get it back the way it was. Probably will show up abused/crashed/stripped.

I do have insurance, but I've never dealt with them on a car theft. I've heard stories of people getting jacked on the value of their car. I have Geico - any words of advice?

I'm out of a car and borrowing a land rover for a few days - it sucks. I went through $30 of gas driving around town and its just so big!

I'm in need of a beater or whatnot until stuff gets figured out with insurance. Does anyone know of a good deal on a g2/g3 integra?

Sorry to hear it, Flood. Seems to be an s2k crime spree going on. Let us know if/how it shows up and how Geico treats you.

Sorry for your loss. Hope things work out. It really is getting scary to own a S these days.

And yes, let us know what the insurance company says. GL.

I was under the impression that the S2000 was supposed to be a difficult vehicle to actually steal.....

Sorry man...!!

The S2000 is a hard vehicle to steal, they probably threw it up on a flatbed. The nice people who tore my S2000 apart were unable to get her started even after ripping the ignition and steering all to hell. Sorry to hear about your loss. amigo - I've seen your rig parked there off of stone and I'm pretty sure you were targeted like the rest of us.

They could have swapped ecu's to a jdm, mugen, or modified unit without an immobilizer.
